Priscillah Oluoch is a seasoned utility leader with over 25 years of experience in water and sanitation management, recognized for advancing inclusive and climate-resilient urban sanitation systems. She currently heads the Sanitation Department at Malindi Water & Sewerage Company Ltd, where she plays a pivotal role in translating the vision of universal access into practical, scalable solutions.
She has successfully led the development and implementation of a comprehensive City-Wide Inclusive Sanitation (CWIS) framework, mobilizing funding and managing complex, end-to-end sanitation projects. Her work spans the entire sanitation value chain; from expanding access to household and public sanitation facilities, to developing innovative waste-to-value fecal sludge treatment plants (FSTPs), and strengthening private sector participation through formalization and capacity building.
Beyond her utility, Priscillah is a national and global thought leader in the sector. She was instrumental in establishing the Water Services Providers Association (WASPA) Sanitation and Non-Revenue Water Technical Working Groups in Kenya, and she contributes to global knowledge exchange as a Task Force member of the International Water Association (IWA) Inclusive Urban Sanitation initiative. She previously served for six years as Chair of the WASPA NRW Task Group.
A passionate advocate for sector transformation, Priscillah is also committed to mentoring the next generation of professionals, with a particular focus on empowering women in water and sanitation.
She has been a speaker and presenter at numerous international forums, including World Water Week, Africa Water Week, AfricaSan7, AfWASA events, UN-Habitat Masterclass Webinars, IWA Congresses (Rwanda and Thailand), and the Kenya Water and Sanitation Congress, among others.
