Dean atuou como presidente da Spirit of Milwaukee, uma organização sem fins lucrativos dedicada a melhorar a imagem de Milwaukee; Presidente da Forward Wisconsin, a organização de desenvolvimento econômico de marketing do estado; e Diretor Executivo da Comissão do Sesquicentenário de Wisconsin. Dean Amhaus has served as the founding President & CEO of The Water Council (TWC) since March 2010. Headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA and formed in 2009, The Water Council is a global hub dedicated to solving critical water challenges by driving innovation in freshwater technology and advancing water stewardship.
Under Mr. Amhaus’ leadership The Water Council has received numerous international and national economic development and leadership awards. In 2018, Brookings Metropolitan Policy Program proclaimed that The Water Council was one of five organizations in the United States that it considers a successful industry cluster initiative.
Dean has served as the President of the Spirit of Milwaukee, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing Milwaukee’s image; President of Forward Wisconsin, the state’s marketing economic development organization; and Executive Director of the Wisconsin Sesquicentennial Commission. For six years, Dean was with the Wisconsin Arts Board; first as Deputy Director and later as Executive Director. During the 1980’s he worked in government relations in Washington, D.C. Schooled in Wisconsin, Mr. Amhaus received his MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and his BS in Business from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
