She holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2002), a master’s degree in Sanitation, Environment, and Water Resources from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2006), and a Ph.D. in Water Resources from the Civil Engineering Program (PEC) – COPPE/UFRJ – Civil Engineering Program at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2016). She is currently the State Secretary of Environment. She was the General Director of the Minas Gerais Water Management Institute, Deputy Secretary, and Sub-Secretary of Inspection of the Secretary of Environment and Sustainable Development of Minas Gerais. She is a professor and coordinator of the Master’s program in Sustainability in Water Resources at the University of Vale do Rio Verde.
