Civil Engineer from the Engineering School of the Federal University of Minas Gerais with a specialization in Sanitary Engineering. At COPASA – Companhia de Saneamento de Minas Gerais, she dedicated 34 years to the sanitation of small communities, having held the position of coordinator of Strategic Projects for Rural Sanitation Programs from 2006 to 2015. She represented the company on the Municipal Support Commission for Health Services Waste Management and various Councils and Committees of the State of Minas Gerais, such as the Drought Management Steering Committee, State Health Council, State Council for Regional Development and Urban Policy. A member of the Brazilian Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering since 1974, she was President of the Minas Gerais Section in the 2015/2017 biennium and has coordinated the Association’s Rural Sanitation Thematic Chamber since 2008.
